Crafted with natural mulberry silk Suzhou embroidery, this dual-wear brooch pendant brings together rich pomegranate red, warm peach-copper, soft gold and green accents. Fine silk stitches are layered with gold-thread embroidery, while the gold-plated brass framework outlines each motif with a delicate jewelry-like finish. A luminous pearl at the center adds a soft point of light to the composition.
The design brings together three traditional auspicious motifs. The Buddha’s hand citron represents blessings and good fortune, the pomegranate symbolizes many children and flourishing generations, and the longevity peach expresses wishes for a long life. At the center, the pearl visually gathers these blessings together, creating a wearable interpretation of the traditional wishes for fortune, longevity and abundance.
Designed to be worn in two ways, the piece can be gently secured at the chest as a brooch, adding a refined Chinese aesthetic to a qipao, jacket, blouse or dress. Turn the piece over and thread a soft cord or ribbon through the back to wear it as a pendant, allowing the embroidery to become an elegant accent at the neckline.
