Icy Purple Jadeite Gourd Pendant in 18K Gold

100% natural Grade-A jadeite, certified by NGTC for authenticity.

A distinct purple hue gives this jadeite Gourd Pendant its character, complemented by an icy texture and particularly good translucency. Light passes through the rounded body and reveals soft variations within the stone, while the polished surface catches broad, bright reflections. The combination of noticeable purple color and a luminous finish gives the jadeite depth, with the curved surfaces allowing both qualities to remain central to its appearance.

The Gourd has a rounded upper lobe, a fuller lower lobe, and a softly defined waist, creating a plump, balanced silhouette. An 18K gold prong setting follows its outline and leaves the purple face prominently displayed. At the top, a round green accent stone is paired with petals set with diamonds in a floral design. The green adds a fresh point of contrast, while the diamond details bring sparkle to the upper section and complement the smooth jadeite below.

In Chinese culture, the Gourd symbolizes blessings and prosperity, with a name that echoes the words for good fortune and prosperity. Its association with a flourishing family gives it an additional sense of warmth and connection. That symbolism makes this purple jadeite Gourd pendant a thoughtful anniversary gift, or a personal piece chosen to celebrate an important moment. For someone who enjoys colored jade jewelry, the combination of purple, green, and diamond details offers an elegant accent for a dinner out as well as everyday wear.
